[Tracen Academy] Special Week
R
Guts
Analysis
Section titled “Analysis”Tier D. The free starter R Guts that fumbles the basics and rides the bench the second any SR walks in.
This is the vanilla Guts card they hand you before your first real pull, and it occupies a slot without doing a job. Look at the numbers. Friendship Bonus tops out at 15%. Mood Effect maxes at 35%. The whole stat package is a single +1 Power that won’t even show up until level 40. No Training Bonus, no friendship stat bundle, so your rainbow Guts sessions just sit there doing nothing special. Initial Friendship Gauge caps at 20, Specialty Priority reaches 35 at level 35, both totally fine, neither one saving a card this thin.
The hint list is the only part with any life in it. You get recovery and wet-track flavor: Wet Conditions, Rainy Days, Hydrate, plus Steadfast. Homestretch Haste and Late Surger Savvy round it out, and the event drops Extra Tank. Fine spread for a late surger or stayer. Problem is every one of those hints shows up on better cards or comes from somewhere else, so they’re never the reason you’d run this.
It loses to every Guts card you’ll actually meet. Matikanetannhauser and Grass Wonder crush it on friendship gain and stat density, and so do the mediocre SRs. Guts as a stat falls off hard past roughly 500 anyway, so even the on-type training quits paying you back late.
- Pro: free, on-type, passable recovery and wet hints
- Con: 15% friendship cap, lone +1 Power, no training bonus
- Con: outclassed by anything SR or above
Bench it the moment something better drops. Don’t waste limit breaks here.
