[Tracen Academy] Mejiro Palmer

Support card art for [Tracen Academy] Mejiro Palmer R Guts

Tier D. A no-effect R Guts card with a junk skill pool. The second you pull anything Guts-flavored above it, bench this and never look back.

Standard bottom-of-the-box Guts R. No unique effect, because R cards never get one, so everything rides on the raw bonuses and those are thin. Friendship Bonus caps at 20%. Mood Effect lands at 25%. The stat line is a single point of Power Bonus at level 40, which is basically nothing. Initial Friendship Gauge tops out at 20, enough to skip a turn of bonding and not much past that. Specialty Priority at 50 at least keeps it pointed at Guts training instead of wandering off.

The bigger issue is the type. Guts is the stat most builds care about least, so a card whose only job is to occupy that slot is already losing. The hint pool does it no favors. Early Lead, Fast-Paced, and Flustered Pace Chasers cover narrow positioning and recovery cases, the two course aptitudes are filler, and the event skill is Wet Conditions, a mud-only situational. None of it moves the needle in any current build.

Who beats it? Every SR and SSR Guts card, plus plenty of R cards that at least hand you better stats or a hint you’d actually run.

  • Pros: dirt cheap to max, passable early Friendship and Mood, solid Specialty Priority
  • Cons: zero unique effect, 1 Power Bonus, useless hints, off-type, outclassed by any SR

Career-completion filler if your roster is bare. Otherwise leave it.
