Analysis
Section titled “Analysis”Tier B. A solid Wit SSR with one of the best generic skills in It’s On! and great energy recovery, but its weak 35% friendship cap leaves it a clear step behind the meta Wit cards. Skip it unless your Wit slot is empty.
You run Wit for skill points and to keep your energy bar healthy, and this Matikanetannhauser does the job without ever looking special. The problem is the 35% Friendship Bonus at MLB. The best Wit cards sit higher than that, and since Wit training already hands you weaker raw stats than Speed or Power, a softer multiplier just widens the gap. Energy is where it actually pulls its weight. Wit Friendship Recovery up to 5 means a full-bond Wit session keeps you topped off, which is the entire reason you bring a Wit card. The Lv30 unique stacks a motivation-tied boost on top of that.
The skill list carries it. It’s On! is among the best generic rares in the game, and you also pick up hints for Pace Strategy, Homestretch Haste, and Shake It Out, plus a recovery skill. Initial stats are friendly too: 30 Wit, 20 Speed, 30 friendship gauge at max, with Specialty Priority climbing to 35 so it reliably shows up on Wit tiles.
None of that beats the math. The established Wit SSRs out-train it on bonuses, and over a full career that outweighs a handful of nice hints.
- Pros: It’s On! hint, strong Wit energy recovery, friendly starting stats, high specialty priority
- Cons: weak 35% friendship cap, soft Wit stat output, loses to the meta Wit picks
Roll it only if you’ve got nothing better in the slot.
