Analysis
Section titled “Analysis”Tier C. A cheap early-Career Speed SR that keeps your trainee fed on energy, but its +1 Speed Bonus and late-surger-only hints make it a bench piece the moment a real Speed SR shows up.
Flash sells convenience early, not stats. Friendship Bonus caps at 20% and Mood Effect at 50%, which is normal for an SR, and the Lv25 unique adds +15 Mood with +5 Race Bonus on top. The training output is where it falls apart. Speed Bonus is a measly +1 at Lv45, and Training Effectiveness only climbs to 5%. Rainbow this card and you’ll watch it pump out clearly fewer points than any stat-first Speed SR.
The energy events are the one real draw. Both training events feed Energy back (one hands you +20 plus a Homestretch Haste hint), so your uma stays in the gym instead of resting through a run. The hints commit hard to the late-surger style. You get Late Surger Straightaways and Corners, Fighter, plus Target in Sight and Straightaway Acceleration. Genuinely useful, but dead weight on any other running style.
The competition buries it. Generic Speed SRs out-stat it and bring tidier event packages, so Flash lands as a third Speed slot at best, mostly for late surgers or stamina-positive parents.
- Pros: solid friendship/mood, energy-positive events, good late-surger hints
- Cons: +1 Speed Bonus is almost nothing, low Training Effectiveness, other Speed SRs do its job better
Don’t spark for it. If you’re early and starved for Speed cards, MLB it, ride the energy, then drop it.
