[Now Dat's What I Call Grilled Squid!] Tamamo Cross
SR
Guts
Analysis
Section titled “Analysis”Tier C. Cheap Guts filler with a genuine Friendship Bonus, but Guts is a low-priority stat and this gets benched the second you pull anything real.
Two questions decide any Guts SR. Does it have a real Friendship Bonus, and is Guts even worth the slot? Tamamo nails the first one. Maxed, you get a 20% Friendship Bonus alongside 15% Training Effectiveness, which is a full kit on a low-rarity card. That means it rainbows on the Guts tile instead of dribbling out flat numbers. The Lv25 unique tacks on +1 Skill Point Bonus and +20 Initial Guts. You also start with a bit of Initial Power and a chunk of Initial Friendship Gauge, and Specialty Priority climbing to 60 keeps it glued to Guts training instead of drifting onto random tiles.
The stat is the issue. Most builds want a touch of Guts and call it a day, so the dedicated Guts slot is first on the chopping block once Speed, Power, Stamina and Wit are sorted. Skills don’t bail it out. Rosy Outlook plus the Late Surger and Pace Chaser corner hints only matter if your runner fits that style, and the event package is plain green stats with a corner hint stapled on.
- Good: full Friendship plus Training Effectiveness, useful Initial Power, painless to MLB as an SR.
- Bad: Guts rarely earns the slot, skills nobody remembers, a unique that does nothing for procs.
Build it early if you need Guts on the cheap. Spending pulls to chase it is a waste.
